What a dashboard is

A dashboard is a grid of widgets in one project. A widget can show market data, the latest results of one of your workflows, or a metric's history.

Opening a dashboard or picking a symbol never starts a workflow run. Runs start from your click, or from the workflow's own schedule or trigger.

The Dashboards page

Dashboards in the sidebar opens the list at https://app.orbitalaip.com/dashboards.

A card shows the name, a refresh chip (Live, Scheduled or On demand), the description and the WIDGETS and WORKFLOWS counts. A line at the foot flags a problem, such as a paused or failing schedule.

To filter the list:

  1. Open Search

Click Search in the sidebar, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows).

  2. Type part of a name

The grid keeps the dashboards whose name or description matches. Click the chip the search leaves in the header to clear it.

Your plan limits how many dashboards a workspace can hold, not counting those in Trash. To see your count, click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Billing; it is under Dashboards, workflows & agents.

Create a dashboard

  1. Click Create Dashboard

    The Create dashboard panel opens.

  2. Pick how to start

Blank dashboard creates an empty board named New Dashboard and opens it. Create with Chat asks a few questions, then shows a proposal; nothing is created until you click Apply. A template card opens its setup, where Install template creates the board.

  3. Name it

Click the name at the top of the board and type a new one.

Layout and editing

  1. Click Edit

Each tile shows a grip, a title field and three buttons: the gear (Edit widget settings), copy (Duplicate widget) and bin (Delete widget).

  2. Arrange the tiles

Drag a tile by its grip to move it, and drag its corner to resize it.

  3. Click Done

    Changes save as you go.

Deleting a tile asks you to confirm with Remove. It removes the tile, not the workflow behind it.

Market-data tiles refresh on their own, and a workflow tile updates when its workflow finishes a run. Refresh dashboard data in the header re-reads every tile now.

Widgets

Add Widget opens the widget gallery: pick a type, choose its DATA SOURCE (most types have one) and click Add to Dashboard, up to 60 widgets a board. See Add a widget.

Templates

A template installs a ready-made dashboard, usually with the workflows and agents that fill it. See Dashboard templates.

The symbol sidebar

Once a board has a widget, the chevron at its left edge opens and closes the symbol sidebar. Choose a list in the watchlist picker at the top; your default watchlist is selected at first.

In the WATCHLIST section, click a row to make that symbol active, or hold ⌘ or Ctrl and click to select several. Hover a row to run the board's workflows for that symbol or to remove it from the list. RECENT lists up to eight other symbols you used lately, each with a button to add it to the list.

Widgets that follow a symbol show the active symbol's data. The active symbol also appears next to the board's name; click it to search for another. The page address carries the symbols and the watchlist, so a copied link opens the same view.

Run workflows and batch runs

Run appears in the header when workflows feed the board. It opens Run workflows: each workflow, the age of its last result and its estimated cost in credits.

Each row that takes a symbol has a scope switch: the active symbol, or WL with the watchlist's name and size. Pick one and click Run. One that picks its own symbols has Re-run instead. Run all runs every row. In the sidebar, Run all · AAPL (with your active symbol) runs them for that symbol, and Run watchlist runs them across the list.

A batch over more than 10 symbols, or above 100 estimated credits, opens the Run analysis sheet first. Its Skip symbols with results fresher than 24h box is ticked by default. The Credit ceiling stops the batch once spending reaches it. Its suggested value is at most 500 credits, and you can raise it. Smaller batches start at once and skip fresh results.

A batch takes at most 50 symbols, so on a longer list its per-symbol runs do not start. One batch runs at a time.

A chip in the header follows a running batch; open it to see each symbol and retry failures. Otherwise it reads Up to date, or a count such as 3 stale for symbols with no result in the last 24 hours. Click it to open Run analysis for those symbols.

Filters and saved views

Dashboards have no dashboard-wide filter bar and no saved views; some tiles have controls of their own. See Filters and views.

Delete a dashboard

  1. Open the card's menu

On the Dashboards page, click the ⋮ button (Dashboard actions) on the card.

  2. Click Delete

    Confirm with Delete Dashboard.

The dashboard and its widgets move to Trash for 30 days. Its workflows and agents are not deleted. You can restore it from Trash when there is room under your plan's dashboard limit.
