Create an account
Open app.orbitalaip.com/signup. The page is headed Create your account. You can sign up with an email and password, or with a Google account.
With an email and password
Enter your Full Name
It needs at least 2 characters.
Enter your Email
Choose a Password
Type it again under Confirm Password.
Accept the terms
Tick I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Pass the check
A human-verification check from Cloudflare sits below the checkbox. It usually passes on its own; if it asks, tick its box. Create account stays disabled until it passes.
Click Create account
A password needs at least 8 characters, with at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter and one number.
If the address already has an account, the page says "An account with this email already exists." If the check cannot load, often because of an ad blocker, the page offers retry verification.
With Google
Click Sign up with Google
Choose the Google account to use
Allow the sign-in, and Google returns you to Orbital, signed in.
Google must have verified the address on the account you pick. Otherwise Orbital refuses with "Google has not verified the email address on this account. Verify it with Google, then try again."
If an Orbital account already uses that address, Google is linked to it and you sign in to that account.
Your first screen
You are signed in as soon as the account exists, with nothing to confirm by email. The account starts with a workspace named Personal, on the Free plan, and a project named Investing, with Watchlists and Backtesting on and Trade set up shortly after; What signup creates has the details. If the Trade it on paper card reads Set up Trade, install Trade under Settings → Apps.
The app opens on Chat. Four setup cards sit under the composer: Create your first agent, Run your first backtest, Set up a broker and Trade it on paper. They stay for up to 30 days. Until you skip setup or finish all four cards, and for at most your first week, the heading reads Welcome to Orbital, followed by your first name (just Welcome to Orbital when the name is long).
On a desktop-width window, a short tour starts on its own the first time you arrive on each device. Take a quick tour replays it; the button is hidden on narrow screens. Skip setup hides the cards and the welcome heading.
Open the sign-in page
Go to app.orbitalaip.com/signin. Any page that needs an account sends you here first.
Enter your Email and Password, then click Sign in. Or click Sign in with Google.
You land on Chat, or on the page you were trying to open. A wrong password and an unknown address both show "Invalid email or password." If your account was created with Google and has no password, use Sign in with Google.
To sign out, click your avatar at the foot of the sidebar and choose Sign out.
Reset a forgotten password
Open the reset page
On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?.
Request the email
Enter your Email Address and click Send Reset Instructions. The page shows Check your email.
Follow the link
Open the email with the subject "Reset your Orbital AIP password" and follow its link to the Reset your password page.
Choose a new password
Enter a New Password of at least 8 characters, repeat it under Confirm New Password, and click Reset Password.
Sign in again
Click Sign in and use the new password.
The link works once and expires after 1 hour, and requesting another cancels it. The confirmation looks the same whether or not the address has an account, and the email arrives only for an account that has a password. Resetting the password signs you out on every other device.
Join a workspace from an invitation
A workspace invitation email carries a role of admin, member or viewer and expires in 7 days; Joining from an invitation says what the role gives you and why accepting can fail.
Open the invitation
In the email with the subject "You've been invited to join [workspace] on Orbital AIP", click Accept Invitation. It opens the Workspace Invitation page.
Sign in if you need to
If you are not signed in, click Sign in, or Create account if you are new to Orbital. You return here afterwards to accept.
Accept it
Click Accept invitation. The page shows You're in! and, after a moment, sends you to Chat in your current workspace. To open the one you joined, click your avatar and pick it under Workspaces.
The invitation is tied to the address it was sent to. An account created from it must use that address, and that sign-up page does not offer Google. A new account created this way still gets its own Personal workspace, with the invited workspace beside it.
If something goes wrong
If you cannot sign in, or the verification check will not load, write to hello@orbitalaip.com or ask on Discord.
