Open Settings
Settings opens from the account menu, as a dialog over the page you are on.
Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar.
Under Account, click Profile.
You can also go straight to app.orbitalaip.com/settings/profile. To close Settings, click × (Close settings) at the top right, press Esc, or click outside the dialog.
How Settings is laid out
The dialog's sidebar opens with your picture, your name and the current workspace. Its pages come in this order:
- Account: Profile and Notifications.
- Workspace: General, Billing, Usage, AI Models, Apps, Plugins and Developers.
- Trash, on its own at the foot of the sidebar.
Billing, Usage, AI Models, Plugins and Developers appear only to workspace owners and admins. The account menu lists the same Account and Workspace pages, but not Trash. On a narrow screen, a menu at the top of each page replaces the sidebar.
Your profile
The first card on Profile holds four fields:
- Profile image: click Choose and pick a JPG, GIF or PNG of up to 1MB.
- Name: the name shown with your avatar in the sidebar and at the top of Settings.
- Email: the address you sign in with.
- Username: your unique handle.
There is no Save button. A change saves a moment after you stop typing, when you leave the field, or when you close Settings. The top right of the page shows Saving…, then Saved. If Orbital refuses a change, the reason shows there instead, for example "Username is already taken." or "Email is already in use."
You can change Email only if your account has a password. On an account that signs in only with Google, the field is locked and reads Managed by Google. Set a password first to change it.
How you sign in
The Sign-in section of Profile has a Google row and a Password row.
Connect Google
When Google is connected, the Google row shows Connected. Otherwise it offers Connect Google.
Under Sign-in, click Connect Google.
Choose the Google account that uses the same email address as your Orbital account, and allow the sign-in.
Google returns you to Orbital, which opens Chat. Back in Profile, the Google row shows Connected.
From then on you can use Sign in with Google on the sign-in page, and your password keeps working. Profile has no control to disconnect Google.
A Google account with another address does not connect. Orbital opens Chat without a message, and the Google row still offers Connect Google. If another Orbital account already has that Google account or its address, you are signed in to that account instead. Google is then connected to that account.
Change your password
If your account has a password, the Password row holds a short form.
Type your current password in the Current password box.
Type a new password of at least 8 characters in the New password box. It must differ from the current one.
Click Update password. Orbital shows Password updated.
A wrong current password shows "Current password is incorrect."
Set a password
An account that signs in only with Google has no password. Its Password row says so and offers Set a password. A password lets you sign in with your email address, without Google.
Click Set a password. Orbital emails a link to your address and shows Check your email.
Open the email with the subject "Reset your Orbital AIP password" and follow its link. It opens the Reset your password page.
Enter a New Password of at least 8 characters, and repeat it under Confirm New Password.
Click Reset Password. The page shows Password reset and says you were signed out on every other device. This browser is signed out too.
Click Sign in. Use your email and the new password, or Google.
The link works once and expires after 1 hour. Requesting another link cancels the first.
What signs you out
To sign out:
Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar.
Click Sign out.
This table shows where each action signs you out:
| What you do | Where it signs you out |
|---|---|
| Update password in Profile | Every other device. This browser stays signed in. |
| Set or reset a password from an emailed link | Every device, including the browser you used |
| Sign in with Google, while signed out, to a password account that has never connected Google or used a reset link | Every other device. The account's API keys are revoked and its password is removed. |
| Sign out from the account menu | This browser only |
| Delete your account | Every device |
Delete your account
Delete account sits under Danger zone at the foot of Profile.
Click Delete next to Delete account. A confirmation opens in its place.
Under Type your email address to confirm, type your account's email address. Capital letters do not matter.
If your account has a password, enter it under Confirm your password. A Google-only account has no password box: the typed address is the confirmation.
Click Delete my account. It stays disabled until the address matches and any password is filled in.
A wrong password shows "That password is incorrect." When the deletion succeeds, Orbital signs you out on every device and opens the sign-in page.
Deleting removes:
- your account, your API keys and your Claude connections
- every workspace you own that has no other members, usually just Personal
- everything in those workspaces: dashboards, workflows, agents, chats and documents
- any subscription, which is cancelled
In a workspace someone else owns, your membership ends. The workflows, agents, dashboards and watchlists you created there are deleted. Notes and comments you wrote on symbols there stay for the other members.
If you own a shared workspace
Orbital refuses while you own a workspace with other members, and lists each one under Transfer these workspaces first. Hand each to another owner or remove its other members, then try again. Settings has no Members page, so write to hello@orbitalaip.com for help.
